PRE-ORDERS FOR PMS029 STARTED. LET’S WELCOME WELL WITH THEIR DEBUT 12″!

I think, this friendship between Passion Means Struggle Records and the Krakow/Czestochwa scene started years before Passion Means Struggle even began to release records – in 2015, when Regres came to Plauen for their first Germany weekender, that we organized together with Refuse Records.
Years later, bands came and went but we stayed close to each other – now this is the premiere with Passion Means Struggle releasing a band from Poland.
WELL is the newest face of the thriving Krakow/Czestochowa hardcore scene that gave birth to such groundbreaking bands as REGRES, PROTEIN or FORESIGHT (and many more). Some faces might be known, others are new – what matters the most for us is that this is the consequence of years of friendship and a close connection to all these wonderful people. Again, we decided to co-releases this with our friends of Youth 2 Youth Records.
The record will be out as a 12″ this fall in clear vinyl or blue splatter vinyl.
You can listen to the tracks HERE and pre-order it HERE.

PMS 028 out now! SNAIT – The Blessing Way 12″

Finally, we welcome SNAIT from Italy to the Passion Means Struggle family. You might know some of their members from MISERY FOR A LIVING, but this time their music takes a slightly different direction. Here’s what they say:

„Friuli’s worst dancers are back with a bang!
SNAIT return with their new EP titled ‚The Blessing Way‘. Their vinyl debut showcases some of the best that modern European hardcore/punk has to offer. On this record, the band seamlessly blends fast riffs with punk-driven rhythms, perfectly balancing the aggression of hardcore with the catchiness of pop-punk.
Drawing inspiration from the golden era of melodic hardcore/punk and skatepunk, SNAIT deliver six short, fast and original songs, plus their own take on a Jawbreaker classic. A limited edition 12” that will serve as a true reminder of why we love punk rock.
The leading single ‘Call It A Day’, much like the rest of the EP, conceptually navigates the thin line between giving up and the need for rebirth. It feels like a rabbit hole into the human psyche, forced to come to terms with the fact that some dreams are meant to stay dreams — driven both by the unpredictability of life and the uncertainty that currently grips the world. It’s about suffering and frustration, but equally about finding an equilibrium that prevents a total breakdown, guiding us to cherish the good things in our lives.
‚The Blessing Way‘ is SNAIT doing what they do best: fairly short songs, fast, screamy and full of hooks and melodies. Heartfelt melodic punk/hardcore played with passion, with honest, sincere and straight-to-the-point lyrics screamed with everything they’ve got.“

The record is out NOW on black or limited colored vinyl!

New stuff – Hardcore from the late 90’s until today!

From the late 90’s to the late 2000’s, not many european bands were that influential and heavy-touring for a thriving hardcore scene as ENDSTAND was. coming from a small town in finland, they developed their very own sound, coming along with a thoughtful and political stance.
„to whom it may concern“ was their first full-length release in 1999, but it never saw the light of the day as vinyl record – until now, more than 20 years later, ENDSTAND decided to play some shows again and their label, COMBAT ROCK INDUSTRY, remastered this record and released it on vinyl, with a new artwork and a gatefold cover! You can find the copies here.

Furthermore, during the great Munich Edge Fest, I discovered a new south german Straight Edge band that really caught my attention: HANDSHAKE from Kaufbeuren/Munich. Their debut was released by my friends CHOKE RECORDS and is now available here! In my view, they bring back the positive energy of early 2000’s modern hardcore and mix it up with the sheer energy and rhythm of late 90’s bands. Deep lyrics, great recording, killer artwork – they continue where EMPTY VISION left off in the 2000’s scene.

Fist, WORTH IT’s final record „The Outcome Remains“ which is a brilliant piece of 90’s influenced emotional HC, and then BLOQUE, the new Barca SXE allstar band with their debut release.
